Dear parents and students, dear visitors,
Welcome to Dominique Savio High School site. Here, you will find information about education, admission procedures, the different services and the current events of primary and secondary schools.
Do not hesitate to consult the sections regularly. We wish you a good visit and we apologize: our site is being repaired, you will soon have a new interface available, where all sections will be updated.
The establishment Dominique Savio educates 1,157 students in the 2016 school year, from kindergarten to the final year, on 3 separate, but geographically close sites. The school is a contracted AEFE institution that fully implements the French National Education curriculums. It is managed by a Parents’ Association (APE) that is very involved, present and efficient. It offers a wide variety of options and has been engaged since 2012 in a strong policy of early teaching of modern languages. English is taught from the second year of kindergarten and students continue their acquisitions in high school through groups of progression and the European section (as well as a Cambridge Certification).
The dynamism of the school reads in its involvement in projects as varied as “Ado en scène” (Teens on Stage), the festival of science, the week of letters and Francophone countries, the “Robocop” final, Mathematics without borders …).
The school provides sciences and information technology quality equipment and has had a large gymnasium since 2013; it also has a swimming pool, among other sports facilities.
Its ambitious school project, that aims to lead all students to the best of their skills and obtain the corresponding diplomas, also includes a component of excellence with the preparation of the volunteer students in final grade to competitive entrance examinations such as ‘Concours Sciences Politiques’ and ‘Sésame’.
In order to best prepare guidance throughout their school years and into higher education (‘Admission Post Bac’), the school has established a resource person for information and course choice (‘PRIO = Personnels ressources en information et orientation’), on duty at the school’s library every day of the week.
I wish all our students to acquire a taste for studies, find pleasure in work and acquire the ability to project into the future.
As Seneca said, ” There is no favourable wind for someone who does not know where he is heading”.
